Dr. Dipesh Tamrakar

Dr Dipesh Tamrakar is general secretary of Nepalese Society of Community Medicine and assistant professor at Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences. He has graduated in Community Medicine and Tropical Diseases from BPKIHS. Besides academics, he is actively involved in infectious diseases research and program. He is currently leading the multi-site multi country epidemiological, serological and environement surveillance of enteric fever in Nepal which try to understand burden, antibiotics resistent, cost of illness of enteric fever disease as well as try to validate low cost serological test to detect enteric fever. He has sucesfuly completed phase III clinical trail of Vi-DT conjugated typhoid vaccine as principal investigator. He is currently leading phase III clinical trail of SCB 2019 COVID 19 vaccine trail as well as Oral Cholera Vaccine  at Dhulikhel Hospital.
