Objectives

1. To promote population health by supporting high standards of training and education in the Community Medicine discipline
2. To promote the educational and scientific advancement of the broad discipline of Community Medicine
3. To advocate to incorporate the discipline of Community Medicine in different related areas of National Health System
4. To promote the role of Community Medicine graduates as Community Physicians
5. To develop co-operation/coordination in teaching, training, research and services between the Community Medicine discipline
6. To enhance preventive skills, management, clinical skills and leadership quality of Community Medicine professionals through Continuing Medical and Public Health Education (CMPHE)
7. To develop linkages between different national and international bodies for issues related to public health
