The Nepalese Society of Community Medicine (NESCOM) is a professional, non-profit-making organization of Nepalese MD graduates in community medicine, established in 2016. This society has been established with a vision to ensure highest attainable health of people of Nepal by combined effort of proficient experts engaged in the field of community medicine.

Community medicine is a multidisciplinary specialty that blends both clinical practice and preventive care. It is developed as a specialist discipline of medicine which acts as a link between health services and clinical science. It not only compasses implementation of disease prevention programs, community health care needs, management of healthcare teams and advocacy for health promoting policies but also diagnose and treatment of diseases.
